Most Wanted Woman Maoist Sobha Nabbed
ROURKELA: Top female Maoist Sobha Mundari alias Sheela alias Budhni,
in her early 50s, was forwarded to court here on Thursday by Rourkela
police after she was rearrested from Bokaro in Jharkhand following a
non-bailable warrant (NBW) against her. She has been remanded in
judicial custody. Sources said Sobha was earlier arrested by Rourkela
police from Lathikata police limits in October 2006 along with her two
aides. However, she was then taken on remand by Jharkhand police
following several pending cases.
Lathikata police station IIC P K Das said that the NBW was issued
against her and she was arrested from Bokaro and brought to Rourkela.
She faces charges of waging war against the State, the IIC said. While
Rourkela police did not elaborate the circumstances leading to Sobha’s
arrest, unofficial sources claimed that she was arrested after she came
out of jail in Bokaro. Sobha, a resident of Birdihi in Jharkhand, is the
wife of top Maoist leader Kisan Da and is allegedly involved in some
major Maois
