Nepal - Baidhya’s party forms core group to disrupt elections
SURKHET: CPN-Maoist today formed a core group to disrupt polls in the Bheri-Karnali region. CPN-Maoist Bheri-Karnali state committee secretary and CPN-Maoist central member Bharat Bam said they had imparted one-week military and political training to a group of 60 Youths and deployed them in villages. “We have directed 60 youths to train other youths and mobilise them in remote villages in groups of 20 to 25,” Bam added.
He said the deployed youths would train other youths and launch a crusade to disrupt CA polls. Bam said they would first request the parties not to hold campaigns but if the parties ignored their appeal, they would not hesitate to take up arms. He said only 60 youths took part in the training though 100 were called. Youth Dasta (force) consists of former Maoist combatants, volunteers, and others. Bam said his party was forced to disrupt the CA poll as the four-party syndicate was trying to impose election on the country overlooking his party’s genuine demands. “The core group will devote its entire energy to poll disruption,” Bam said.
