Nepal - CPN spokesperson Bishwokarma released



Netra Bikram Chand-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) spokesperson Khadga Bahadur Bishwokarma has been released on Tuesday.

Bishwokarma, who was arrested time and again by the police on the charges of extortion, arson and explosion, was released at the order of Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court ordered Bishwokarma’s release following a hearing on the habeas corpus writ filed by his kin at the court.
The CPN spokesperson was last taken to Udayapur for investigation into the charges. He was brought to Kathmandu on Monday evening.

Following his release, Bishwokarna also organised a corner assembly at Maitighar Mandala.
Earlier, police used to arrest him soon after court freed him.
Bishwokarma was arrested for the first time on August 8 on the charge of extortion.
Along with Bishwokarma, leader Uma Bhujel has also been released.
