Arm is necessary for Nepal people liberation: Biplav
The newly formed Nepal Communist Party Maoist headed by Netra Bikram Chand Biplav is preparing to declare a ‘strong struggle’, reports confirm. Preparations are already underway to declare another round of struggle of the so-called ‘Peoples’ Revolt Day’ that falls on February 13, 2015, reports quote a party insider as saying. “There is no alternative to an armed struggle. Arm is necessary for class liberation,” reports quote an anonymous central committee member of the new party as saying.
To recall, in an exclusive interview with the Kantipur Daily the other day Biplav had claimed that arming themselves was not a difficult task at all. “We have farmers and workers with us. We are supported by Dalits, Janajatis, Madeshis, indigenous people, women, marginalized communities and other aware citizens’ of the country. They all are our weapons. A person’s mind gives birth to a revolt. He possesses the ability for initiating several such revolts,” so opines disgruntled Secretary Netra Bikram Chand Biplav of Nepal Communist Party-Maoist led by Mohan Baidya Kiran.

DHANGADHI, Dec 6: CPN-Maoist Chairman Mohan Baidya has said that he will join hands with Netra Bikram Chand if the latter raises arms for people´s revolution. “We will meet if Chand will raise arms and fight for people,” Baidya said addressing the press meet organized by Federation of Revolutionary Journalists here on Saturday, claiming that his party too is preparing to launch an armed revolt.
Stressing that raising arms is necessary for triumph of a revolution, the Maoist hardliner argued that people in different countries of the globe took to arms and made their revolution successful. “Gun is a must for political power. The appropriate time to raise arms depends on situation,” Baidya said. He was of the opinion that they were deceived before the conclusion of people’s revolt as they handed over their weapons to the state.
