Wildcat strike halts fuel dispatch from Dominican Republic refinery
Santo Domingo.- Fuel deliveries from the Dominican Petroleum Refinery have been halted since early Thursday, as its truckers’ union stage a surprise walkout. Union spokesman Franklin Mateo said the protest stems from the arrest of three of its leaders, including general secretary Clemente Molina in San Pedro during another protest yesterday against the company Gas Caribe, owned by Raisa Rodríguez.
