AUSTRIA - 74th anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp

On May 5, 1945, the Mauthausen concentration camp was liberated. For the 74th anniversary of the liberation of the Mauthausen concentration camp, revolutionaries and antifascists from Austria and Turkey formed a joint delegation to commemorate the hundred of thousands victims of Nazi fascism in Mauthausen. In addition to marching through the concentration camp, at the Soviet Memorial the delegation sang two songs together to commemorate the murdered Red Army fighters and the partisans. The famous partisan song "Bella Ciao" was sung alternately in Turkish and German and was a good expression of internationalism! There was also a song sung honoring the "12 Heroes of the Central Committee", those communists who formed the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Austria during Nazi Fascism and reorganized all party work that was the most important for the anti-fascist resistance
